Green Pea Curry



2 tblsp oil
2 cups water
A pinch of soda bicarbonate
Salt and asafetida to taste
4 green chillies
½ piece ginger
1 kg fresh peas
Coriander leaves (chopped)
Fresh coconut (grated)



Put the oil, water soda bicarbonate, salt asafetida and the ginger and chilli paste into pan. Stir well and place on fire. When hot, put in the green peas. These will cook in ten minutes. (The colour of the peas should not change.)

Remove from fire and serve, garnished with coriander leaves and coconut.
